The Dr. Wedler A. Alexandre Scholarship Funds is organized exclusively for the charitable and educational purposes of providing high quality education to students in
our community. We want to be a partner in helping to provide academic excellence that will facilitate the development of the mind, body and spirit.
The purpose of education is the preservation and enhancement of knowledge and the development of character within our given form of society which will best prepare the individual for the conditions of extreme novelty the near future is bringing.
The Students in today’s education system are the future leaders and policy makers of our nation. They will comprise our workforce and help define our economy. The education they must receive must provide them the skills necessary to be active participants in our democracy and to realize their economic and personal goals.
Education is one of the most important tools that a society possesses. A good education is one that requires a student to be a strong individual, possess the ability to think for himself or herself and have the desire to learn. Education is defined as the imparting and acquiring of knowledge through teaching and learning. It is the most important thing that an individual can achieve in life.
